Along with gene Watson Hank was so underated, I got to see both of them live in 1979 gene was at church street station when he launched what I consider to be his best song , Carmen, and saw Hank at the Opry, an experience I will always remember, what a tradgedy that we will never get to see them again , cheers from Tasmania
Hank T is awesome, he's my new favorite country guy..
He should be in the Hall of Fame in Nashville
This would have been a good Jim Reeves song. Wish he had recorded it.
I aspire to be that damn cool! Hooooly Rhinestones! 😂
Hi there, I understand that you were able to obtain the documentary: The sweet lady with the nasty voice I really wanted to watch it but can't seem to find it anywhere would it be possible if you could somehow let me know where I can watch it, that would be much appreciated
Anyone know where I can find more information about Les Anderson.
Died alone in a sad motel room of a heart attack. Tommy you deserved so much better
Oldest video i've seen👌
That's when county music was REAl country!
Square dancing anyone!?
I really enjoy Speedy, great guitar player, lotsa fun.🙏😷🎵🎶❗👀
What a great singer. Effortless:)
I wonder if Bert got those "whup-whup-wahhh's" with JUST a volume pedal, or was it a VOLUME/TONE pedal?
sure love Tommy Duncan music, he looks much like a great uncle of mine and was my grandfathers favorite when with Bob Wills

R. I. P. The Texas Legend HANK THOMPSON
The only thing I do not like here is the accordion, but otherwise a fine performance by the band AND of course featuring the legendary Texas Playboy.......... Tommy Duncan.🎻🎸
R.I.P. The Texas Legend Hank Thompson 🎸
What a beautiful song by the Texas legend. R.I.P. Hank Thompson 🎸
What a great guitarist, writer, AND singer Hank Thompson was. That constitutes being a musical genius IMO. R. I. P. Hank Thompson 🎸
Falstaff, Lone Star, and Pearl were at one point T H E beers of Texas. R. I. P. Hank Thompson 🎸
Best voice
New one for me love it
Rip Tex Williams , you are missed
What a factual song! But it's like this with everyone, everywhere, isn't it?
Great song! Marvelous entertainer. My dad loved Mac Wiseman. A voice that will never be equaled. RIP Mac. Truly one of the greats in Bluegrass and old-time music. ❤️
Incredible footage
Video made 14 years ago and I just now discovered it. But what a discovery👍🏻 Such talent. So much music coming from just a thumb and forefinger. Seems hard to believe.
Used to be my favorite at the NCO club store that served ROTC summer camp cadets at Ft Bragg= 1973
This tune absolutely fuckin slaps. Merle's playing is on another level.
Love these old country songs..
Good old country song..
cool stuff

That lick at the end of the steel solo (and other spots), I assume done with the volume pedal, was that a Bert Rivera trademark? I've heard it on a few Hank Thompson recordings, and was wondering.
